Function:With a fresh pine-citrus aroma, **terpinolene** is valued for its crisp scent, low cost and powerful bactericidal activity. It is widely used as a food flavouring, in household cleaners and industrial detergents. At high concentrations it is a key raw material for polymers such as ABS, acrylic, polyurethane and polyether polyols, as well as for synthetic fragrances. Low-grade terpinolene oil, thanks to its antimicrobial and strong solvency properties, is employed as a preservative and industrial solvent.
